On June 3th-4th, 2021, the Fifth Global Manufacturing Supply Chain and Logistics Symposium hosted by the Journal of Logistics Technology and Application was held in Suzhou. The symposium invited a number of experts from research institutions, and the senior executives from advanced manufacturing enterprises and logistics technology provider to lunch the speeches, introducing successful cases and offering solutions and sharing the implementation experience.

      Traditional logistics equipment and solutions are difficult to meet their individual needs, and individualized and adapted R&D and customization are required according to the needs of different industries, and these are exactly the ROBO's advantages. It has been well known in the industry that ROBO focus on the manufacture of stackers. As a standard retrieval and storage equipment, the stacker is constantly updated and iterated and currently moving towards the direction development for higher, faster, wider, smarter, greener, etc. In recent years, ROBO has been committed to continuously upgrading products based on the application characteristics of different industries. ROBO’s headquarter increases the height of the stacker crane from the original 38 meters to more than 45 meters, and put it on the Chinese market. With the shortage of land resources in the Chinese market, it will be an inevitable trend that access stereoscopic warehouses will become higher and higher, and higher stackers will also have better development space.

In the cooperation project, based on the understanding of stacker technology and product performance, the ROBO technical team conducted in-depth explorations on the application needs and scenarios of users in different industries, especially in the expansion of projects in some emerging fields, the strength of ROBO’s technology is constantly been proven. For example, in the shipbuilding industry, in view of the wide variety of construction materials, irregular shapes (long and slender, the longest more than 16 meters), uneven load and large differences in body shape, ROBO has undergone many designs, demonstrations and analysis. After verification and factory testing, a truss-type stacker crane that can accommodate material access in multiple aisles was successfully designed. The equipment adopts a ground-free track and mast-free design. One stacker can handle materials in multiple aisles, which solves the problem of material stacking in the shipbuilding workshop, avoids damage to materials during the transportation process, saves space, and improves the material warehouse. The management level and the accuracy of material information; the realization of the unmanned entire industrial chain of material production and storage, reduces labor, and promotes the improvement of productivity.
