Intelligent Chain and Wheat Fragrance, Building a Smart Warehouse Together—ROBOtech's 8 Stackers Land at Seamild‌ Suqian Base

2026-09-15 14:09

With the acceleration of scale and intelligent upgrades in the food manufacturing industry, the efficiency, stability, and refined management level of backend warehousing and logistics have gradually become key factors restricting the overall capacity release of factories.

As a representative enterprise in China's oat cereal health food sector, Seamild‌ continues to promote the construction of production bases and the upgrading of intelligent capabilities. Suqian, Jiangsu, is one of Seamild‌'s important production bases. During the construction of the second-phase innovative factory, an intelligent warehousing system was planned simultaneously to improve the connection between production and warehousing logistics.

In the Suqian Seamild‌ project, Yinfei Storage served as the project integrator, and ROBOtech provided the core stacker equipment, offering stable and efficient automated handling capabilities to support the operation of the automated warehouse.

8 Stacker Cranes, Reshaping Food Warehousing Operational Efficiency

This project is equipped with 8 rail-guided aisle stacker cranes, featuring a double-column, single-reach, straight-rail structure. The equipment height is approximately 20.05 meters, suitable for handling units of W1200×D1400×H1700mm, with a rated load of up to 800kg, and a storage capacity exceeding 400,000 finished products.

By integrating stacker cranes with automated storage racks, the storage space extends from traditional horizontal layouts to vertical dimensions, achieving higher-density storage within a limited factory area. This setup precisely meets the warehousing operational needs of food manufacturing enterprises with multiple product varieties and batches.

Operating speed of 160m/min, balancing efficiency and accuracy

For manufacturing enterprises, warehousing equipment not only needs to 'accommodate storage' but also keep pace with production and inventory turnover. The Seamild‌ Suqian base intelligent warehouse also handles e-commerce order sorting and single-item distribution, imposing higher requirements on equipment operational efficiency and positioning accuracy.

In this project, the stacker cranes achieve a maximum horizontal travel speed of 160m/min, a lifting speed of up to 40m/min, and a fork speed of up to 40m/min; horizontal movement, lifting, and fork positioning accuracy all reach within ±3mm.

Horizontal travel and lifting use laser distance measurement for positioning, while the forks use encoder positioning. The equipment can retrieve and place goods at high shelves at high speed, ensuring both operational efficiency and positioning accuracy.

Adapted for all-weather operation, supporting continuous operation of the automated warehouse

For food manufacturing production lines operating continuously, the backend warehouse needs to keep pace with the production line. At the same time, the Seamild‌ Suqian Base intelligent warehouse also handles e-commerce order sorting and direct shipping by single item, which places higher requirements on the equipment's all-weather operational capability.

The project’s stacker cranes are designed, manufactured, and inspected according to national and industry standards, capable of meeting the warehouse’s all-weather operational needs and supporting 7×24-hour continuous circulation of the entire automated warehouse.

At the same time, the equipment is equipped with safety devices such as end cushioning, rope slack protection, and rope break protection. When operating to extreme positions or if rope slack or breakage occurs, the protective devices are triggered promptly to achieve safe stopping, ensuring the safety bottom line for both equipment and goods.

Supporting food manufacturing warehousing upgrades with core equipment capabilities

The second phase of Seamild‌ Suqian Base, with a focus on “supply chain digital intelligence upgrade,” promotes efficient coordination between production and warehousing. ROBOtech provides a stable equipment foundation for this upgrade through the core capabilities of its stacker cranes.

From a single piece of equipment to an entire logistics system, the value of intelligent warehousing ultimately lies in the continuous improvement of production, warehousing, and supply chain efficiency.

ROBOtech will also continue to strengthen equipment performance and scenario adaptability across different industry warehousing scenarios, providing more reliable equipment support for manufacturing enterprises’ logistics automation upgrades.
